A fantastic way to relieve allergies in the house! Some people with severe hay fever and dust mite allergies have experienced amazing results using an essential oil burner!

How does it work?

All you need to do is fill the bowl up with water, add a few drops of any essential oil you like and place a tea light candle (small candle) underneath. The candle gently heats the water vaporizing the essential oil(s) and allowing it to diffuse around your home.

A couple of examples of essential oils that can effectively relieve allergy symptoms are tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil. Some people also choose to use peppermint oil, rosemary oil, lavender oil, liquid menthol, and lemon essential oil in their Oil burners for allergy relief. There are also essential oils that can help with anything from cold relief, repelling insects and for relaxation to help you sleep, etc… Have a look at the list of essential oil recipes on –

Does it matter what candles I use?

This is a debatable topic. Some would say not to use essential oil burners at all because many candles can actually release pollutants, preferring to use electric diffusers and vaporizers. Paraffin based candles are very popular for the budget conscious but unfortunately they release petrochemicals into the air.

A non-toxic option for candles in essential oil burners and around the home is a natural alternative. Beeswax candles not only release less of the bad stuff, but they also have other benefits for allergy sufferers.
